Again, why does their decision affect your life? If they end up not liking their tattoo(s), they can get it removed or get a coverup. Yes, people can make mistake, but why should your opinions affect the decision that they would happen to make?

Even though I won't get a piercing or a tattoo, I do think that the age should be lowered. It is a persons own decision of getting a tattoo or not. It is a sense of expression and creativity, so why should we infringe on their rights to express themselves. It is their own life, so why do you need to get in the way of their decision if it doesn't affect your life what-so-ever.

I don't think that parents are as worried now about being friends with their kids. My parents tell me quite often that they are not here to be my friend, they are here to be my parent. They aren't old-fashioned by any means so I do believe that as a whole, most parents are not as worried about being friends now compared to 20 or 30 years ago.

The school does have the right to be concerned about the safety of students, but not by controlling what we can bring to class. Students will always find a way to sneak whatever they are trying to hide into a class room, whether it be in a purse or you stuff it into a pocket. I think that there should be more freedom allowed with backpacks within school. Overall, not allowing them into classrooms won't help with safety, and it just makes the students hate administration even more.
